Flood the board, one colour at a time, in Pastel Splash — a relaxing yet brain-teasing puzzle game you can play free in your browser, no download. You own the connected patch of tiles starting in the top-left corner, and each turn you pick a colour: your whole territory recolours and swallows every touching tile of that colour. The goal is to unify the entire mosaic into a single hue before your move budget runs out. It starts gently — ten curated intro boards ramp from a small 5x5 grid up to a 10x10 with six colours — then flows into endless generated boards that are always solvable by design (a built-in solver guarantees the budget is enough, verified across thousands of layouts). Unifying a board never ends your run; it advances you to a bigger one, and finishing in as few moves as the game's own greedy solver earns a FLAWLESS bonus. Only running out of moves before unifying ends a run. Every hue also carries a distinct glyph shape for colourblind-friendly play. Boards bank pigment toward the Pigment Lab, where five permanent upgrades add moves to your budget, plus optional Wildcard, Undo, and Hint tools and a pigment-and-score multiplier. How to play

Desktop: click a colour swatch in the bottom bar, or press number keys 1–6, to flood your top-left territory to that colour and absorb all adjacent matching tiles. Enter or Space starts from the menu; z undoes, r restarts the board, h shows a hint, and w plays a wildcard (the tool keys only work once you've unlocked them). Mobile: tap a colour swatch with one finger; unlocked tool buttons sit top-right. Picking the colour you already own does nothing and costs no move. Tips: (1) Play greedy — each turn, pick the colour that swallows the most tiles; the budget is set against a greedy solver and FLAWLESS means matching it, so maximum absorption is both the winning and the high-scoring move. (2) Bank leftover moves for score, since the clear bonus and pigment both scale with moves remaining — finishing well under budget pays far more than scraping through. (3) Save the Wildcard for a stubborn dominant colour: it drains the most-plentiful colour off the whole board for free without spending a move.
